m=6+13 means that the value of m is equal to the sum of 6 and 13
ReplyDeletesimilarly in no.2 m will be equal to 5*b+2. where be substituted
ReplyDeletethe other answers will follow the same steps basically
ReplyDeletethese equations are used to show that the variables of all the equations are equal to the m,w,p etc.
ReplyDelete(7) the value of g is simply h divided by 3 add t, where h and t are variables. First we have to divide h by three and whatever answer we get we add that answer to t.
ReplyDeletestep 1: h/3= answer #1
step 2: answer#1 + t = final answer
(10) the value of m is h multiply by p, add 3 and then multiply by 5. the steps are as follows:
ReplyDeletestep 1: h*p= ans #1
step 2: ans#1 + 3 = ans#2
step 3: ans#2 * 5 = final answer
(10) M is equal to H multiply by p plus 3 multiply by 5
ReplyDelete(6) y=mx+c
ReplyDeletevariable y is equal to the gradient mutipult by the variable x plus the y intercept
(3) the value of h is the product of the variable i multiply by the variable r multiply by the variable b s.
ReplyDeletecalculation:
h= i*r*s
= final answer
the value of w is 7 multiply by a variable 'd' minus 2, then multiply by 5. the procedure are as follows:
ReplyDeletestep 1: 7*d= answer #1
step 2: answer #1 -2 = answer #2
step 3: answer #2*5 = FINAL ANSWER
for number 1
ReplyDeletem= 6 + 13
is just that m=19
and for number 2
m=5b + 2
unlike number one number two does not have like terms which could be added so there for it is juat as it is stated
m=5b + 2..
it cannot be simplified
with all of these equation could only be simplified only if there are like terms .. if there is no like terms then nothing could be done..if there is like terms they must be grouped and simplified as the best as they can.. the similar terms could be number or letters.
ReplyDelete(9)first of all in this equation we must point out that there are 3 variables h, p and m. In order to find the value of h we should follow these simple steps:- (1)Firstly input the value of m into the equation and then multiply this value by 5.(2) following which we add 3 to the value obtained from the previous step. (3) we then input the value of the variable p and then divide the value obtained from step 2 by the value of p. And there is your answer..BOOM!!
ReplyDelete"What do these really mean." m=6+13 really means that m is a variable, which is just a number and is equal to the number 6 added to the number 13, therefore m = 19. So substituting 19 for m in the equation gives, 19 = 6+13 proving that m is really 19.
ReplyDeleteok most of these comments have just stated what the equation is about which are all correct. On the other had looking at most of these equations also there are other variables.
ReplyDeletethese equations also give values for these other variables not only the ones on the left hand side
for example
2)m=5b+2
yes we see to obtain a value for m we would multiply 5 by a given value b and add 2 to that answer
BUT!!
also contained in this equation is an equation to find "b"
m=5b+2
5b=m-2
b=(m-2)/5
so as we see this is the same equation but a different variable can be found.
m=5b+2 means that the variable m which is just a number, is equal to 5b added to the number 2. b in the term 5b is just another variable which is just another number. The number 5 is called the coefficient of the variable b. A coefficient is number in front of a variable. The number 5 is to be multiplied by the variable b. The number 2 is called a constant term. When the two terms are added the result is equal to m. Since there are two unknown variables the equation cannot be solved for m or for b unless a number is given to substitute for either m or b.
ReplyDeleteI agree with cap guy, the equations do have more than one variable. To find an answer for the variables on the left hand side, the variables on the right hand must be given and to find an answer for the variables on the right hand side the variables on the left hand side must be given. Therefore if any of the variables are given, making the the unknown variable the subject of the equation leads to a new equation.
ReplyDelete(8) firstly identify all the variables in the equation which are p and f. Then input the value of f and multiply this by 7. then minus 9 from the value.from the calculations above this will now give you the values which are in the brackets. then divide the value by five which will give you the resulting answer.
ReplyDeletem=6+13 means that m is equal to the value when 6 and 13 is added together.
ReplyDeletewen the calculation is performed m=6+13
m=19
m=6+13 means m is the subject of the formula, and it gives you information that 6+ 13 so you can solve which is m=19.
ReplyDeletem=5b+2 means for this on you ahve to find the value of b first then solve for m.
h=irs means h is showing ifo. that i is multiplied by r the multiplied by s.
w= 5(7d-2) means 5 multiplied by 7d and the 5 multiplied by 2.
p=hv+k means h multiplied by v then the result added to k.
y=mx+c this is the equation of a straight line.
g=h/3+t means h divided by the result of 3 plus t which is 3t.
p=(7f-9)/5 means bracketed terms multiplied by 1 then the result divided by 5.
1) m=6+13
ReplyDeletem= the sum of 6 and 13, which is 18
2) m=5b + 2
m = 5 multiply by the value of b then add that value to 2
3) h=irs
the value of h= (i) multiply by the unknown (r) multiply by the value of (s)
4) w= 5(7d + 2)
w= (35 x d) + 10
or
w= 7 multiply by d then add that value to 2 then multiply this total by 5
5) p= (h multiply v) + k
6) y= (m multiply by X) + c
7) g = h/3 + t
g = the fraction h/3 plus t
m=6+13
ReplyDeletem=19
this means that the variable m has the value 19

ReplyDeletem=5b+2
ReplyDeletethis cant be solved due to the fact that it contains two unknowns (m and b)
(1) m = 5 + 13
ReplyDeletethis means that the value of m = 5+13 which is 18
m=18
(2)m = 5+2b
this means that from the previous question m can be equal to 18 so subst 18 for m ad find for b or find for m by getting a value for b and substituting.
(3)h=irs
ReplyDeletethis is where we have 4 variables and cannot be solved until we acquire at least three values for any of the three unknown.
and wen u get that u subst into the equation and solve
(4)w= 5(7d + 2)
ReplyDelete1st we have to expand the brackets.
so w is equal to 5 * 7d + 5 * 2
so w = 35d + 10
to find the value of w if provided with a value of d substitute in the equation and solve and vice versa if wanna find for d
(5)p=hv + k
ReplyDeletethis means that p is equal to (h) multiply by (v) + k
these are all equations. equations are relationships; showing how things are connected together by grouping and you know the output
ReplyDeletethe equal sign gives the output
ReplyDeletethe above equations are connecting terms using functions to group them by identify like terms.
ReplyDeletethe relationship is given by the functions: that is addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
ReplyDeletefor ques
ReplyDelete4)w=5(7d-2)
w=35d-10
for first expand brackets 5*7d(35d) and 5*-2(- 10)
therefore w is equal to 35 * by the value of d -10
5) p=hv+k
ReplyDeletethat means k is equal to h multiply by v add k where h,v,k are variables ie. they represent a number. once the value of h,v,k are given you can solve the equation and get the value of p
6)y=mx+c
where m is equal to the gradient,x is equal to the x value and c is the constant.
so y is equal to m*x add c
7)g=h/3+t
ReplyDeleteg is equal to the value of h divided by 3 and the ans u get plus the value of t to it
8) p=(7f-9)/5
first expand brackets, 1 is understood in front of it. secondly multiply 7 by the value of f ,minus 9 and the value you get divide by 5 that will give you the value of g
9)h=(5m+3)/p
ReplyDeleteh is equal to 5 multiply by the value of m and the ans you get add 3 to it, then divide by the value of p
10)m=(hp+3)/5
similarly m is qual to the value of h multiply by the value of p,and add 3 to it, then divide by 5. in other words m is equal to the product of the value of h and the value of p plus 3 divided by 5
1) the value of m is equal to the sum of 6 and 13
ReplyDelete3) the value of h is equal to the variable i multiply by variable r multiply by variable s
ReplyDelete2) the value of m is equal to 5 multiply by variable b plus 2
ReplyDelete5) the value of p is equal to the value of variable h multiply by variable v plus variable k
ReplyDelete6) the value of y is equal to the value of the gradient m multiply by the value of x plus the value of the y intercept c
ReplyDelete1) m = 6 + 13
ReplyDeletem represents a number which is equivalant to the sum of 6 and 13
2)m = 5b + 2
ReplyDelete5 multiply by b (which is a number) add 2 is equal to m (which is also a number)
3) h = irs
ReplyDeletei multiply by r multiply by s is equal to h
OR
h = i * r * s
4) w = 5(7d - 2)
ReplyDeletew is equal to 5 multiply by 7d , 5 multiply by -2
therefore w = 35d - 10
35 multiply by d minus 10 is equal to w
the value of m is equal to the sum of 6 and 13.
ReplyDeletem= 6+13
ReplyDeletethis says that m is equal to the sum of 6 and 13.
m= 5b+2
ReplyDeletethis is saying m is equal to the sum of 5b and 2. 5b being 5 multiply by b.
h= irs
ReplyDeletethis is saying h is equal to i multiply by r and then ir multiply by s.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletep= hv+k
ReplyDeletethis is saying that p is equal to the sum of hv and k. hv being h multiply by v.
y= mx+c
ReplyDeletethis is the equation of a striaght line.
this is saying y is equal to sum of mx and c.
mx being m multiply by x.
m=6+13eans that m is the unknown but it is equaxl to 6+13 and when the two numbers are sum you find for m so what ever the sum is it is equal to m and is m in that case
ReplyDeletem = 5b + 2 means that m is the unknown and in order to find what m is you have to sum 5b+2 but b is a variable and 5 and2 are constan and 5b means what ever the variable is we time 5 by it and the product we add it to 2 so we find for m
ReplyDeleteh = irs
ReplyDeletemeans that h is a unknown so tha is what we must find and i,r,s are variables and in order to find for h you times i by r by s aned so you find for your the unknown
m = 6 + 13...this means that m is the sum of the numbers 6 and 13...which is 19
ReplyDeletem = 5b + 2...this means that m is the sum of the product of 5 and b, and 2
ReplyDelete1. m=6+13
ReplyDeleteThis means that the value "m" is equal to sum of 6 and 13
2.m=5b+2
This means that the value "m" is equal to 5 times b or the product of b and 5 add to 2
3.h=irs
This means that the value "h" is the product of i, r and s... i x r x S
But to go more in depth to no. 2 & 3...the letters can be replaced with numbers and for example in 2. let b=2, then
ReplyDeletem=5b+2
m=5(2)+2
m=10+2
m=12
m = 6 + 13
ReplyDeleteThis means the sum of 6 and 13 is equal to m
Hence wen solved m = 19
2.m = 5b + 2
ReplyDeleteThis means the sum of 5(b) and 2
() means multiply
3. h = irs
ReplyDeleteThis means h is equal to the product of (i)(r) and(s)
4. w = 5(7d - 2)
ReplyDeletew is equal to 5 mutiplied by the terms in the bracket and when this is done. U then find the difference of the two terms
w= 35d - 10
5. p = hv + k
ReplyDeletep is equal to the difference of 2 terms this is found after, 35 have been mutiplied by d
6.y = mx + c
ReplyDeleteAhhh equation of a straigh line
y is equal t the sum of mx and c
where m and x are multiplied
7. g = h/3 + t
ReplyDeleteg is equAL to the sum of (h divided by 3) and t
8. p = (7f - 9)/5
ReplyDeletep is equal to the division of 7f - 9 and 5
Here 7f - 9 is the numerator and 5 is the denominator
9.h = (5m + 3) /p
ReplyDeleteh is equal to the division of 5m + 3 and p
where 5m + 3 is the numerator and p is the denominator
10. m = (hp + 3)5
ReplyDeletem is equal to the multiplication of (hp + 3) and 5
where h and p is multiplied and then added to 3 then mutiplied to 5
having to type in the random letter to let ur commemt go tru is sooo annoying...ugh
ReplyDeletewhat abt
ReplyDeleted = d33vy + br2n / st3v3n - b0
does anoyone one to attempt dat one ^
ReplyDeleted=d33vy + br2n/ st3v3n-b0 cant be solved it is a loop because of the two 'd's . its infinitely variable.
ReplyDelete1. m=6+13 is simply saying that m a variable is being solved by adding two known values which gives the sum of 19.
ReplyDeletem=19
m=5b+2 is an equation where the are two variables. in order to solve we can only have one unknown and since there are two it cannot be solved. however if we substitute one of the unknowns such as b with a number such as 2 we can then solve for m by saying
ReplyDeletem=(5*2)+2
m=12
h=irs
ReplyDeleteis an equation that contains only variables and m can only be solved by substituting i,r and s with numbers. when we do this then we multiply them by each other and the product would be h.
1.m = 6 + 13 means that m is equal to the sum of the two numbers 6 and 13 hence m would be equal to 19
ReplyDelete2.m = 5b + 2 means that m is equal to the sum of 5b (5b means 5*b) and 2. however this equation can not be solved further since the terms are of different natures.
3.h = irs means that h is equal to i multiplied by r multiplied by s.
4.w = 5(7d - 2) means that w is equal to 5 multiplied by the difference of 7d(ie. 7*d) and 2.
5.p = hv + k means that p is equal to the sum of hv(ie. h*v) and k
6.y = mx + c means that y is equal to the sum of mx(ie. m*x) and c. this equation is also the equation of a straight line in this case the y value would be found by the sum of the y intercept and the gradient*x value.
7.g = h/3 + t means that g is equal to the sum of h/3(ie.h divided by 3) and t.
8.p = (7f - 9)/5 means that p is equal to the difference of 7f(ie. 7*f)and 9 all divided by 5.
9.h = (5m + 3) /p means that h is equal to the sum of 5m(ie. 5*m) and 3 all divided by p
10.m = (hp + 3)5 means that m is equal to the sum of hp(ie. h*p) and 3 all multiplied by 5
h = irs...this means that h is equal to the product of i r and s
ReplyDeletem = 6 + 13
ReplyDeletethis is where a value is equal to a quantity

ReplyDelete6 dollars add 13 dollars is 19 dollars ppl
ReplyDeletem=6+13 means that the value of m is equal to the sum of 6 and 13
ReplyDeletewith all of these equation could only be simplified only if there are like terms .. if there is no like terms then nothing could be done..if there is like terms they must be grouped and simplified as the best as they can.. the similar terms could be number or letters.
ReplyDelete3) h=irs
ReplyDeletethe value of h= (i) multiply by the unknown (r) multiply by the value of (s)
4) w= 5(7d + 2)
w= (35 x d) + 10
or
w= 7 multiply by d then add that value to 2 then multiply this total by 5
5) p= (h multiply v) + k
6) y= (m multiply by X) + c
7) g = h/3 + t
g = the fraction h/3 plus t

4) w=5(7d-2)
ReplyDeletei.e by expanding the bracket w=35d-10
6) y=mx+c this is the equation of a stright line
ReplyDeletem=6+13 really means that m=19
ReplyDeletem=5b + 2
ReplyDeletem = 5 multiply by the value of b+2
h=irs
ReplyDeletethe value of h= (i) multiply by the unknown (r) multiply by the value of (s).
g = h/3 + t
ReplyDeleteg = the fraction h/3 plus t
and so on.........
ReplyDeletep=hv+k
ReplyDeleteis saying that in order to find an unknown p we need to solve by mult.h by v and the product is added to k. the sum of this is equal to p... to do this we need to place values to the variables.
y=mx+c
ReplyDeleteis saying the same as mentioned above.
it gives the gradient of a graph (shows the change)....
g=h/3+t
ReplyDeleteis saying if we divide h by 3 and then add this to t the sum of this is equal to g....
p=(7f-9)/5
ReplyDelete=7*f
(7*f)-9
p=(7*f)-9/5
h=(5m+3)/p
ReplyDelete5*m
(5*m)+3
the sum is then divided by p and the answer=h
h=(5m+3)/p
m=(hp+3)5
ReplyDeleteis saying that m is solved by multiplying h by p and adding the product to 3. then the sum is multiplied by 5. the answer is equal to m.
for ques
ReplyDelete6)y=mx+c
where m is equal to the gradient,x is equal to the x value and c is the constant.
so y is equal to m*x add c
when 6+13 is added the value of m will be found, which solves the equation
ReplyDeletefor number 1

h = ( 5m + 3) /p
ReplyDeletethis show that 5 multiply by m plus 3, and the ansa divided by by p equals h
m = (hp + 3) 5
ReplyDeletethis shows that the product of hp plus 3 all multiply by 5 equals m
m = 6+13
ReplyDeletethis means that the value of m is equal to the sum of 6 and 13 which is 19. so when simplified m = 19
m = 5b + 2
ReplyDeletethis means that m is equal to 5 times the value of b (+2)
h = irs
ReplyDeletethis means that h is equal to the value of i multiplied by r, multiplied by s
w= 5(7d-2)
ReplyDeletemeans 5 multiplied by 7d and the 5 multiplied by --2.minus each other
p=hv+k
ReplyDeletethis means h multiplied by v then the result added to k is the value of p
y = mx + c
ReplyDeletethis means that y is equal to the value of x multiplied by the gradient. plus c (the constant)
g = h/3 + t
ReplyDeletethis means that g is equal to the value of h dived by 3. and then the answer plus 3
p = (7f - 9)/5
ReplyDeletethis means that p is equal to the value of 7 times f. minus 9. all of that divided by 5
h = (5m + 3) /p
ReplyDeletethis means that h is 5 times m. plus 3. all that divided by the value of p
m = (hp + 3)5
ReplyDeletethis means that m is the value of h multiplied by that value of p. plus 3. and the answer divided by 5
2)m=5b+2 means that when 5 is multiply by the variable b then that value is added to two and the result is equal to m.
ReplyDelete3)h=irs means that the variables i multiply by r multiply by s will give you the resulting answer that is equal to h
ReplyDelete4)w=5(7d-2) means five multiply by 7d and 5 multiply by -2. then perform the minus function in the brackets.
ReplyDelete5)p=hv+t means that h is multiply by v and then the answer it added to t.
ReplyDelete6)y=mx+c means that the variable m is multiply by the variable x and then it is added to the variable c.y is then equal to the product.
ReplyDelete7) g = h/3 + t means the variable h is divided by 3 and then it is added to t.
ReplyDelete9)h=(5m+3) means that 5 is multiply by the variable m and then the answer is added to 3. when that answer is obtained it is then divided by the variable p and that is the resulting answer which h is equals to.
ReplyDelete10) m = (hp + 3)5 means that the variable h is multiply by the variabe p and then is multiply by 5 and then the 3 is multiply by 5 . then the two answers in the brackets are added together to give you the value for m.

ReplyDelete9. h = (5m + 3)/p
ReplyDeletethe value of h is equal to the value of five tmes the value of 'm' plus 3 all didvided by 'p'
10. m = (hp + 3)5
ReplyDeletewhen solving a question which is written in this form i usually rewrite the question placing the number outside the bracket infront of the bracket so theat it is not left out......m = 5(hp + 3)....now you can work
10. m = 5(hp + 3)
ReplyDeletefirst work out the brackets...5 multiply by 'hp' and also 5 multiply by 3.....you will now have m = 5hp + 15...therefore the value of m is equal to the value of 5 'hp' plus 15

ReplyDeletem=5b + 2
then m is the product of 5*b+2
3
ReplyDeleteh=irs
then h= the product of i*s*r
4.
ReplyDeletew=5(7d-2)
w is the product (7*d-2)*5
5.
ReplyDeletep = hv + k
p is the product of h*v+k
6.
ReplyDeletey = mx + c
y is the product m*x+c
7.
ReplyDeleteg = h/3 + t
g is the product of h divided 3 + t
8.
ReplyDeletep = (7f - 9)/5
when 7*f-9 is divided by 5 the product is equal to p
9.
ReplyDeleteh = (5m + 3) /p
h is the product of 5*m+3 divided by p
10.
ReplyDeletem = (hp + 3)5
m is the product of h*p=3 all * 5
1)
ReplyDeletem is a variable,which is an unknown value of a number.
the eq. m = 6 + 13
tells us that the value of m is equivalent to the sum of the two values on the other side of the equal sign.
m = 19
2)
ReplyDeletenow we have two variables, m and b
this equation is telling us that the value of the variable, m, can be found by multiplying the value of 'b' by 5 and then adding the result to 2
3)
ReplyDeletethis equation is telling us that the value of the variable, h, can be found by multiplying the values of the three variables on the right side of the equal sign (i, r and s)
4)
ReplyDeletewe can find the value of 'w' by multiplying 'd' by seven, then minusing 2 from the result and then multiplying that answer by five
5)
ReplyDeletewe can find the value of 'p' by multiplying 'h' by 'v' and then adding the result to 'k'
7)
ReplyDeletethe value of 'g' can be found by dividing the value of 'h' by 3 and then adding the result to 't'.
8)
ReplyDeletep = (7f - 9)/5
'p' can be found by first multiplying 'f' by 7, then minusing the value by 9 then further dividing the result by 5.
9)
ReplyDeleteh = (5m + 3) /p
'h' is evaluated by firstly multiplying 'm' by 5, then adding 3 to the value, then finally dividing the answer by 'p'
10)
ReplyDeletem = (hp + 3)5
'm' is found out by multiplying 'h' by 'p' and then adding 3 to the answer. afterwards, multiply the result by 5
number 5
ReplyDeletep=hv + k
this shows that h multiply by v plus k equals to p
number 6
ReplyDeletey= mx + c
this shows that m multiply by x plus c is equal to y.
it is also the equation of a straight line
number 7
ReplyDeleteg = h/3 + t
this shows that 1/3 of the variable h plus t equals g
number 8
ReplyDeletep = (7f - 9) / 5
this shows that 7 multiply by f minus 9, and the ansa divided by 5 equals p
number 9
ReplyDeleteh = ( 5m + 3) /p
this show that 5 multiply by m plus 3, and the ansa divided by by p equals h
number 10
ReplyDeletem = (hp + 3) 5
this shows that the product of hp plus 3 all multiply by 5 equals m
when 6 is added to 13you wil get the variable m which is the answer
ReplyDeletethat was question 1
ReplyDeletewhen i*r*s will give you h
ReplyDeletewhen you walk out (7d-2) and * the answer 5. you will get w
ReplyDeletewhen h is * v plus k you will get p
ReplyDeletewhen x is * m then it is added to c you will get your answer being the variable y
ReplyDeletewhen h is divided by three + t your answer will be g
